SCHOOL RAFFLES A reminder that the raffles for the Hurricanes and Lions rugby original photos $1 and the pillow with heaps of vouchers $2 are on sale at the school office as a fundraiser for the Triathlon. GIFTED CHILDREN Here’s your chance to go and try out One Day School, for gifted learners. On Friday 19 March sessions will be held from 9.00—11.45am for children aged 6-8 years and from 12.45—3.30pm for children aged 9-12 years. Sessions will be held at the One Day School classroom at Rangikura School, 95 Conclusion St, Ascot Park, Porirua. The cost is $30 per child. Parents welcome too. The election date is 7 May 2010. Nomination forms have been sent home. All enquiries contact Kane Mokomoko on 027-413-0086 or email CHILD’S WORK By Tiare Hunter—Year 4—Room 9 Yesterday Gloaming Hill went in flames of rage. Everyone evacuated from Gloaming Hill. The fire looked like souls coming out of the devil’s creepy hand. Nan saw cracks in the ground. When the fire stopped, nan saw a dead playground. All book club orders are to be back at the school office by Friday 19 March.
CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to Axel McKenna in Room 8 who won $50 in the draw for ASB Banking. School photos will be held on Wednesday 10 March. School photo envelopes have been sent home. A separate envelope is required for each child. Please return to school office before photo day.
