listening to stories in their The next fundraiser is the Disco. Juniors 2pm—3pm on Friday 25 June. The children can come dressed up and they can only spend $2 at the Disco. Seniors 5pm—6pm on Friday 25 June. Everything they can buy has a value of $1 per item. The next fundraiser to watch out for is a night at the movies. Watch for our next newsletter PCC HOLIDAY PROGRAMME The July programme will be running from 5-16 July 2010. Contact 237-1523 for bookings and information. They are an OSCAR approved programme which means that you may be eligible for a WINZ subsidy. If your child is going to be away from school or you need to leave a message at the office please remember that we have a school cellphone—number 027-757-0272. As per our earlier newsletter, school will finish at 12pm on Thursday 17 June and all day Friday 18 June for parent interviews. We would appreciate it if you could make alternative arrangements to look after your children. If you are unable please phone the school office to let them know your child will be attending school. These will be held on : Thursday 17 June—interviews from 12pm—5pm. Friday 18 June—interviews from 7.30am—5pm. These are 1/2 hour interviews. Don’t forget to get back to the school office with your interview time that suits you. If you are unable to make arrangements to look after your child on Thursday and/or Friday, please let the office know.
24 June—Zulu Song & Dance. Staff are delighted by the enthusiasm of students and the great support of parents to increase the amount of recreational reading the students are doing. When students have completed 50 books they can bring in their reading log and get their photo taken to go up in the library plus a Duffy book. If they continue till they have read 80 books they can select a further book. If they want to continue reading they can get a new log and there will be prizes for students who have read the most books by the end of term. Students can go into the library before school and the beginning of most lunch times. The books will be given out at a Duffy assembly at the end of term. If you have any old towels that you no longer use we would appreciate them to use as cloths for cleaning purposes. Please phone Steve Jackson on 236-8399.
