HOME & SCHOOL

The Home & School purchased four Listening Post sets for the Junior school at a cost of $1,500.  It is lovely seeing all the children listening to stories in their
classrooms.  The money from this purchase has come from fundraising events.

The next fundraiser is the Disco.

Juniors 2pm—3pm on Friday 25 June.  The children can come dressed up and they can only spend $2 at the Disco.

Seniors 5pm—6pm on Friday 25 June.  Everything they can buy has a value of $1 per item.

The next fundraiser to watch out for is a night at the movies.  Watch for our next newsletter

READING LOGS

Staff are delighted by the enthusiasm of students and the great support of parents to increase the amount of recreational reading the students are doing.  When students have completed 50 books they can bring in their reading log and get their photo taken to go up in the library plus a Duffy book.  If they continue till they have read 80 books they can select a further book.  If they want to continue reading they can get a new log and there will be prizes for students who have read the most books by the end of term.

Students can go into the library before school and the beginning of most lunch times.  The books will be given out at a Duffy assembly at the end of term.
