I'm not one to gossip but did you know... ABOUT US!! In our school we have groups of children that help around the school. Some are serious groups and some are fun groups!! Buddy PatrolsWe have a small group of children that are called Buddy Patrols, they help children around the school that are feeling down. When they are on duty they wear a yellow and red bib that shows who they are. Sometimes if you're behaving yourself in the playground they might give you an I'm Great!! (a little certificate) so if you're feeling sad get a Buddy Patrol that can sort your problem out!! Road PatrolsAnother group that does their duty before and after school is our Road Patrols. In the morning and afternoon they make sure that children and adults cross the road safely. They wear an orange vest and on rainy days they wear orange raincoats. So, "Clear. Signs out. Check. Cross now!!" School CouncilOur organising group is the School Council. There are two children from each classroom in the school. The way they become a Council member is they have to tell their class why they should become a member of the School Council. At the end when everybody has had a turn, the class has to vote for a boy and girl to represent their class on the Council. The School Council is one of the most important groups in the school. They organise the fun events for the school like the galas, the fundraisers and the shows. So, who are you going to vote for? Is it going to be me or is it going to be me!! The Garden GroupOne fun group in our school is the garden group. They look after the school garden and plant flowers, fruit and vegetables. They also get food scraps for the worm farm, dig up roots and take pictures of the work they did in the garden. They also give up their lunch times to do these fun activities. The Web Group
